Founded in 2015 as a grassroots community group, Abilities Together CIC became a Community Interest Company in 2023, reflecting its growing impact and commitment to positive change. What started as a mission to reconnect people with nature has evolved into a vibrant movement transforming local green spaces through community gardens and allotment projects. Working closely with councillors, ward officers, and partners like the Bradford Institute for Health Research, the organisation has built a strong reputation for meaningful, community-led initiatives. With a focus on collective action, Abilities Together CIC continues to empower individuals and communities, fostering connection, innovation, and a shared love for the environment.

Abilities Together CIC leads a range of community-driven projects focused on health, wellbeing, and social connection. We support individuals living with diabetes through low-carb lifestyle guidance and physical activity. To address youth exposure to antisocial behaviour, we engage young people in positive, nature-based activities like allotment projects and help them develop their own initiatives. We also transform local green spaces into community gardens, fostering collaboration and pride in the environment. By hosting inclusive community events and partnering with organisations like the Bradford Institute for Health Research and local councils, we strengthen community bonds and empower residents to thrive.
